Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use Hey, It’s You!, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, larger text or other assistive technology. Hey, It’s You! is operated by BluNET Holding Company, LLC.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on our website and in our apps.
What we’ve done
- Every change to our public pages is checked automatically, on a phone-sized and a computer-sized screen, in light and dark mode: labels and structure for screen readers, color contrast, keyboard focus order with a visible focus ring, text at 200% without sideways scrolling or cut-off words, and no motion when your device asks for reduced motion.
- We make buttons and links at least 44 by 44 pixels on a phone, so they’re easy to tap, and our automatic tests check every link and button outside running text on our public pages.
- The website follows your device’s light or dark setting.
- In our apps, every button has a label for VoiceOver and TalkBack, and screens work with large text sizes.
What we’re still working on
- Our automatic checks use the WCAG 2.1 rules. We haven’t yet checked everything that’s new in WCAG 2.2.
- The signed-in member area isn’t in the automatic accessibility checks yet.
- The payment form and the ID check are provided by our partners, so their accessibility is partly up to them.
- To connect, one of you scans the other’s code with a phone camera. There isn’t another way to connect yet; if that’s a barrier for you, contact us and we’ll help.
